The King Jagiello Monument commemorates Władysław II Jagiełło, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania (1386-1434). He is depicted on horseback, holding two swords aloft, symbolizing his victory at the Battle of Grunwald. This bronze sculpture was a gift from Poland to the United States in 1939.
